Off to London!

My work was recently shortlisted for the Young Masters Art Prize. Read more here. Three of my pieces, below, were selected to be shown in two galleries throughout London. Wish me luck!

From left to right: Madonna and Child; Sue, Farmer's Daughter; Adam & Eve, Greene County, AL.

I've been selected to show my stuff at the COLOR National Juried Art Show in Red Hook!

Within this show there is an Affordable Art Room where I will be putting a Rosa Parks print embellished with gold leaf. I recently sold the original Rosa Parks to the George Washington Carver Museum in Dothan, Alabama so the print is the next best thing!

2nd Place! "Mind, Spirit & Emotion" Art Competition

Yep, I got 2nd place. Check out the website here for more details. This is Sue, Farmer's Daughter. An FSA classic taken by Dorothea Lange that depicts a child on a trunk in a threadbare dress with a rancid fur collared coat. Most of her family's possessions are in that trunk so she's ready to pounce at anyone who comes too near.
